Title: Mustache Zoo
Genre: Interactive Rhyming
Word Count: 225 Words
Dear Michelle and Sharon,
When our Hero-in-Disguise unexpectedly sneezes while visiting the zoo, his beloved mustache flies off…to visit the zoo animals! Only with the help of the reader, who completes the rhyming riddles, can our Hero learn where to look next for his fly-away friend. Kids laugh and learn simultaneously (Common Core State Standard CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.K.2.A Recognize and produce rhyming words) following our endearing Hero through the mustachioed menagerie but the action doesn’t stop there. As in Fran Manushkin’s Big Girl Panties, kids love to be included in the adventure and this is just what happens when our friend the mustache lands on them! As you will see, MUSTACHE ZOO is just the beginning of the fun…

It’s part of my disguise.
But every time I sneeze you see
my naughty mustache flies!
Oh no! It’s flown into the Zoo!
Will you help me find my mustache?
Please say you will! Please do!
Can you see my mustache flyin’?
There! It landed on the ____
